Welcome to the website of the Language Teaching Centre!
The primary goal of the Language Teaching Centre (or IOK) is to provide the highest possible standard of teaching English, French, German, Italian, Latin, Russian and Spanish languages for the students of our university.
As the University of Miskolc aims at training versatile specialists adaptable to the challenges of our time, IOK offers language courses for specific purposes and skills-based education besides courses in a general language. The teachers of IOK have great experience in teaching langauges for technical, business, legal and medical purposes.
Our contribution to boost our students’ chances of finding a good job in the labour market includes providing translation training in law, mechanical engineering, materials science and business. In addition to this, courses in workplace communication are offered to economic and mechanical engineering students equipping them with the necessary language tools to take a job abroad.
Our institute functions as an examination location of accredited general and specific purposes exams.
Adapting to the internationalization process of the University of Miskolc, we also teach English and Hungarian to foreign students on scholarship.
